Wise Words from Buddy The Elf!

As I'm in such a lovely mood, I just thought I'd add my current favourite picture of myself and my best friend. She's coming to visit me on Saturday so no doubt I'll be updating after our weekend of funsies in Leeds!

I haven't actually made any plans of what we can do yet, but in the words of Buddy the Elf..."First we'll make snow angels for two hours, then we'll go ice skating, then we'll eat a whole roll of Tollhouse Cookie-dough as fast as we can, and then we'll snuggle!"
I'm excited already.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Confession!

I'm back again!

Well, I wasn't intending to post again today, but as it happens I've just had a surprise visit from my parents so I'm in a really good mood and I thought it'd be nice to add another little nugget of my life to this blog-thingy-whatsit.

This weekend was BUCS at Sheffield (for those that may not know, BUCS is the university sports league) and usually I would have been swimming for Leeds Uni, but I decided not to enter this time to save myself some embarrassment as I'm just not fit enough to swim well right now.

Anyway, my older brother was swimming for Birmingham (he's done really well so big ups to Phil!) and my parents had gone to watch and they called me en route back home to say was I in the house and would I like a flying visit. They only popped in for a cup of tea and a quick catch up, but it was lovely to see them. Mum brought home-baked biscuits which was obviously an added bonus and not to be turned down!

I do have a slight confession to make on the biscuit front though. See, this year I decided to give up chocolate for lent...foolish I know, but it's something I've always wanted to do so I thought it'd be good to challenge myself. (As a side-note, I've also given up bread but we'll not talk about that because it's a bit of a sore point at the moment...I'm craving a panini like nobody's business!) Anyway, the biscuits mum bought were white chocolate chip cookies (my ultimate favourite) and it would have been rude to say no!

I'm not sure if this means I've broken the rules of lent or not. See, traditionally lent doesn't include Sundays so as it's Sunday today, I guess technically those beautifully creamy white chocolate chips don't count...right?!

So now that I'm in a lovely little mood and feeling pretty swell and content with my life maybe it's time to knock out a few more words in this essay...
