Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows...

I know it's been over a month since I last posted, but I have a perfectly good reason this time...I've been on holiday!
I've been so lucky this year and I've actually had two holidays and spent the best part of a month relaxing. It's been fantastic!

On 24th June, Melissa, Katrina and I jetted off to Malaga in Spain to spend just over 2 weeks with Katrina's lovely Nan who lives out there. We had such a brilliant time and were so lucky with the weather. We all came back a beautiful shade of bronze and made loads of great memories.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here are a few of my favourite photographs from such a wonderful two weeks.

June lives at the top of a mountain so we had some fantastic views of the sunrise and sunset each day.

Melissa and I enjoyed breakfast on the balcony each morning.

A lovely evening spent at Nerja.

Go Karting.

Melissa and I enjoying the biggest ice creams ever!
I really did have a lovely holiday and I'd go back in an instant. I'm so grateful to Katrina's Nan for letting us stay with her again and I feel truly blessed to have such wonderful best friends to share my summer with.

Take a little time for tea...

Although this weekend has been filled with revision and essay writing, it's been lovely. Charl, Alex, Lucy and I have made a really special effort to do fun and exciting things to punctuate the day and get us out of the house to preserve our sanity.
Yesterday we went for frozen yoghurt in the sunshine, and today we revisited our favourite little tea shop and had a good old natter over a cup of tea and a cupcake. It really is just so lovely to leave the house and do something a little bit different. Call me boring, but even though I'm a student I would definitely choose a cup of tea in a cute cafe over a wild night out any day!

So all in all, after a couple of unsettled days at the beginning of the week, my first week back at uni has been lovely and I'm so glad to be back. We'll be back to a full house of 8 again tonight when Chris and Kieran return after their longer holiday, and although it will be good to see them, if I'm completely honest I'm not looking forward to them coming and shattering the peace again! But hey ho, that's just the way it goes!
